Two pups having fun in the winter
We took our puppies up to my Father-In-Law's place near Silver Lake. They got to play in the snow and run around for quite a while. They had a wonderful time, they ran themselves into the ground, and the were very happy when we were all done.

Arsenal 'immoral' for pursuit of Barcelona academy player Jon Miguel Toral
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has hit out at Arsenal over their pursuit of academy player Jon Miguel Toral, describing it as "a little immoral".

By Telegraph staff and agencies 12:24PM GMT 24 Feb 2011
Midfielder Toral, who turned 16 earlier this month, has been brought up through Barca's famous La Masia youth system and now looks set to follow in the footsteps of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas and swap the Nou Camp for the Emirates.
Rosell said in an interview with Catalan television last night: "We told the Arsenal directors that we knew they were after Toral and we told them we didn't like it - as any president would have said.
"Legally they have done nothing wrong but it's a little immoral.
"For us it's very important to keep this group of kids who have grown up together in La Masia.
"We don't like it that clubs come in with offers of money just before they turn 16.
"There are two philosophies; ours is to invest in La Masia and the other is to fish all over Europe for kids of 15 like Arsenal."
Fabregas also left Barca for Arsenal at the age of 16 and has developed into one of the game's leading midfielders.
Barca have long been linked with a move to bring the 23 year-old back to the Nou Camp and last summer had a big-money bid for the Spain international turned down by Arsenal.
Speaking about their interest in Fabregas and whether any possible future negotiations might be affected by the Toral situation, Rosell said: "I don't think it will affect it because one matter has nothing to do with the other.
"Arsenal already know how we feel and that's it. If our coaches are interested in Cesc, then we'll see what happens in the summer."

Championship round-up: Stephen Dobbie’s strike fires up Swansea
Stephen Dobbie’s 76th-minute winner proved enough to send Swansea back into the automatic promotion places while Nottingham Forest suffered late woe on a dramatic night of action.
By Telegraph staff and agencies 11:38PM GMT 22 Feb 2011
Starting the evening in second place, Forest recovered from a poor start against rock-bottom Preston to snatch what they thought was a winner in stoppage-time – only for visiting striker Billy Jones to head home an even later leveller.
Forest’s 2-2 draw meant Dobbie’s strike which sunk Coventry at the Ricoh Arena was enough to send Swansea back into second, behind hi-fliers QPR. Forest were left to rue a dramatic finish at the City Ground. Paul Konchesky had hit a 54th-minute equaliser to Barry Nicholson’s early strike, then Chris Cohen fired home an injury-time free-kick – but there was still time for Preston to grab a point.
Cardiff City also leapfrogged Forest into third place as a goal in each half from Michael Chopra and Aaron Ramsey proved enough to see off Sven-Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City, who remain just outside the play-off zone.
Leeds also failed to make the most of their opportunity as they twice blew the lead against Barnsley at Elland Road and eventually had to settle for a point in an exciting 3-3 draw. Luciano Becchio and Max Gradel had cancelled out Jason Shackell’s early opener but Matthew Hill equalised for Barnsley early in the second half and Leeds had Bradley Johnson sent off on 52 for a second bookable offence.
Despite their disadvantage Leeds went back in front through Gradel’s second on 70 minutes, only for Mark Robins’s men to grab their leveller from a Kieran Trippier free-kick eight minutes from time.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The normally unflappable Kim Yu-Na of South Korea burst into tears Thursday, after a flawless performance that won her the Olympic gold medal in women's figure skating. Ms. Kim, who scored a record 228.56 points for her two days of skating, said she didn't really know why emotion overcame her at the end of her free-skate program. But Ms. Kim, 19, also spoke of how hard it was to take in victory she's been training for, for years.

Olympic Medalists on Figure Skating's New Judging
3:06
Former Olympic medal winners Sasha Cohen, Katarina Witt, Michelle Kwan and Peggy Fleming comment on the judging rules for figure skating and the impact on skaters.
"Actually, I still can't believe that I did what I wanted to do at the Olympics," Ms. Kim said in English, at a press conference after her victory. "I've been dreaming about this moment. I can't believe this is not a dream any more." Ms. Kim left no points behind on the ice, as she skated one perfect jump after another, including the triple flip, which had been a nemesis both to her and her coach, former Olympian Brian Orser.
A series of minute mistakes set her closest rivals even further behind her in the final tally than they were after Tuesday's short program. Japan's Mao Asada took the silver, with 205.5 points, after two slight slips.
Ms. Asada, 19, was visibly upset after her turn on the ice, telling reporters she was happy with her two triple axels – a difficult jump that only she performed in the competition – but not with the rest of her performance.
She said she got nervous during the second half of the program, after successfully completing the most difficult part of her skate. "I'm just full of regrets because of the errors that I made," she said. Ms. Asada appeared more composed at a subsequent press conference, saying she was very happy to win her medal, and proud to have landed three triple axels in the two days of Olympic competition.
Even Ms. Kim underestimated what she'd be capable of Thursday. She said after the performance that she was expecting a long-program score of 140 instead of the 150.06 she received. "It's almost as close as the men's score," she said. But Ms. Kim said she isn't planning to return long-term yet to the country where she's become an instant hero for winning its first medal in figure skating. Instead, she said she's going to continue training for the World Championships in Toronto, where she's practiced since 2006.

Canada's Joannie Rochette, 24, who stole the hearts of the audience for continuing to skate after the recent death of her mother, won the bronze with 202.64 points. "My dream is she would always be by my side on a night like this," she said of her mother. "I feel proud and the result did not matter. I'm happy to be on the podium. It was a lifetime project for me and my mom and we achieved that," she said.
For the normally dominant Russians, these Games have brought a record drought. Russian figure skaters have won at least one gold medal at each of the Winter Games since 1964. In Vancouver, Russian athletes took silver in the men's singles event and bronze in ice dancing.
It was also the first time since 1964 that there was no American woman on the podium. Fourth-place American Mirai Nagasu, 16, said she's now got her eyes set on the next Olympics, when she'll have the maturity and experience that some of her older rivals skate with. "Hopefully by (the next Olympics) I'll have that," she said.
About her Olympic experience, she said "I guess it was as stressful as they say."

Henry Winter: insanity plea was Gennaro Gattuso's only hope
In finding the right punishment for Gennaro Gattuso, Uefa has appropriately used its head to deal with AC Milan’s resident nutter.

A four-match suspension is fair. Gattuso’s butt on Tottenham coach Joe Jordan certainly merited a stiffer sanction than the three games in purdah Didier Drogba was eventually condemned to for verbally abusing the Norwegian referee, Tom Henning Ovrebo.
If Gattuso’s offence had occurred on the field of play, he would have been dismissed and banned for three games. Justice has prevailed although Uefa should also note that the referee, Stephane Lannoy, was weak in responding to the melee after the final whistle.
The problem with sporting authorities contemplating longer bans is that they are can be open to legal challenge on the grounds of being perceived as vindictive. Even if Uefa wanted to make an example of Gattuso, sending out a message that footballers are role models, it invariably has one eye on m’learned friends at the major clubs.
The only surprise is that Gattuso didn’t show Uefa’s beaks a photograph of the scary Jordan and plead insanity.
Argyle demise points to FA weakness
As Plymouth Argyle hurtle towards administration, a 10-point deduction and probably relegation to League Two, the authorities are reminded again of the need for owners to be fit, proper and financially sound.
The Football League, which is acutely aware of the problem, and the anaemic Football Association need stronger, more binding guarantees from prospective owners that their business plans are robust and achievable, including the presence of requisite funds to tide a club through troubled times.
The sooner the authorities, including the Government, make it easier for fans to run their clubs the better. Excellent organisations such as Supporters Direct need more backing.
Until then, fans like Argyle’s will endure the heartache without the real means to alleviate the suffering.

Cardiff City 1 Burnley 1: match report
Read a full match report of the Championship match between Cardiff City and Burnley at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday February 15 2011.
Goal: Steve Thompson celebrates his late equaliser for Burnley against former club Cardiff Photo: ACTION IMAGES

Burnley"s Steve Thompson bit the hand that once fed him to put a serious dent in Cardiff City's automatic promotion hopes.
The former Bluebird headed home a Ross Wallace corner seven minutes from time to cancel out Michael Chopra's ninth goal of the season in first half stoppage time.
With three wins in four games behind them, and with the chasing pack warm on their heels, it was an opportunity missed for the Bluebirds for whom victory would have taken them to within three points of leaders Queens Park Rangers. For Burnley, who were slick and purposeful throughout, it was another valuable point in their quest to make an immediate return to the top flight.
"I was disappointed with the way we conceded the goal. We should not be letting in goals from set plays like that. Anyway, we should have had the game won by then" said Cardiff City manager Dave Jones, who felt his side coped with a poor playing surface but suffered at the hands of referee Roger East.
"The pitch wasn't the reason why we didn't win, that was down to the man in the middle!"
Early efforts from Chopra, who struck the bar, and Peter Whittingham, whose shot from a dozen yards was turned around the post by Lee Grant, set the trend for an absorbing first half during which Burnley had numerous opportuities of their own.
Chris Eagles, playing at the top of a five-man midfield, was twice denied by Tom Heaton, in the City goal, while Chris Iwelumo was inches away from converting a driven cross from full-back Tyrone Mears.
However, with seconds remaining in the first half, it was City who broke the deadlock when Chopra reacted quickest in front of goal to beat Grant from close range.
Iwelumo's blocked shot on the hour was Burnley's first, real chance of a second half that was tedious and predictable in comparison to the first. Still, the visitors battled relentlessly in pursuit of an equaliser and were duly rewarded when substitute Thompson headed home Wallace's 83rd-minute corner.

Yet there was a period of last summer when, had you visited a bookmaker, you would have received shorter odds on Fabregas wearing the colours of Barcelona this season than Arsenal.
Fabregas had told Arsene Wenger that he wanted to return home, two formal offers had been tabled and Arsenal were left with the unappealing choice of a weakened team or an unhappy captain.
Wenger, though, had season-defining occasions like this at the forefront of his mind when he refused to compromise on one of his genuinely world-class players and backed himself to man-manage Fabregas through the storm.
Fabregas immediately acknowledged the huge progress that has been made at Arsenal since he was so publicly pursued by Barcelona. “They don’t lose many games and they are the best side in football history in my opinion,” he said. “But we have only played half of this tie.’’
This was also an occasion for Fabregas to provide answers to some of the questions Fabregas has surely been asking himself. Can he fulfil his ambitions with this young Arsenal squad? Would his hunger be diminished by not getting his way? And could he even get into the Barcelona team?
As was rather undiplomatically pointed out by Peter Hill-Wood, the Arsenal chairman, there remains considerable doubt over that final point. Of the three central positions that Fabregas could conceivably fill, two are filled by arguably the greatest midfielders of this current era in Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta. The third is taken by a holding specialist, Sergio Busquets.
Yet, as he proved in the World Cup final, the great quality of Fabregas — an ability to spot and execute defence-splitting passes — is pretty much unrivalled. That was also evident with his first significant touch last night when he delightfully lifted the ball over Gerard Pique to present Robin van Persie with a chance that was ultimately smothered by Victor Valdes.
Fabregas is less comfortable in tight spaces than some of his former Barcelona team-mates, but his ability to drive forward into dangerous areas was often superior. That relentless energy was a catalyst for Arsenal’s second-half revival, with his pass also beginning the move for Andrei Arshavin’s goal.
Wenger added: ''We are not favourites now but we believe we have a chance and will go for it. Barcelona are still favourites but we know we can beat them, which we didn’t know last year.’’
Fabregas’s desire has been admirably undiminished by Wenger’s refusal to let him join Barcelona. Yes, there have been flashes of petulance but at no stage has there been any question over his willingness to put his body on the line for Arsenal. He again covered more distance last night than any of his team-mates. His leadership, so often questioned, was also hugely impressive.
Always running, always cajoling, the influence of Fabregas helped inspire Jack Wilshere. When tempers threatened to boil over, it was Fabregas who stepped in with calming words for his team-mates.
Indeed, as Barcelona predictably enjoyed over 60 per cent of possession, there must have been moments, even amid such a memorable victory, when Fabregas wondered what he would become in such a team. A placard among the away supporters that simply bore the word 'Cesc’ was designed to tug further at his heartstrings.
Intriguingly, though, it was Fabregas who also delivered the very message of patience that Wenger would have been preaching directly to him over the past year. “My friends [Carles] Puyol and Xavi didn’t win anything until they were 26,” he said. “They always remind me to be patient, it will come.”
His contract does not expire until 2015, which puts Arsenal in a strong position for at least the next two years. He could potentially lead this young team into a new era of success. And then, in 2012 or 2013, he can choose where he will fulfil the peak years of his career. Increasingly, that decision no longer feels like a foregone conclusion.

AC Milan v Tottenham: what the Italian media is saying ahead of Champions League clash
Gareth Bale's absence remains the biggest news in Italy ahead of tonight's Champions League clash between AC Milan and Tottenham at the San Siro.
Missing: Gareth Bale failed to recover from a back injury for tonight's tie at the San Siro Photo: ACTION IMAGES
4:26PM GMT 15 Feb 2011
Tottenham face Milan without Bale
The Welshman's absence is central to the focus of almost every Italian journalist's match preview considering the damage he did the last time he came up against a team from Milan.
It is a factor Milan must take advantage of but not depend on, according to Alfredo Pedullà of DataSport who describes Bale as a "Welsh arrow" without whom Spurs are weakened.
"His recovery is impossible. Let us say it loud and clear. With Bale Tottenham are formidable, without they must be respected but considered weakened. Milan has a duty to take advantage of it though Pato."
Time for Pato to shine
With so many of Allegri's squad ruled out having already played elsewhere in the Champions League (Van Bommel, Emmanuelson and Cassano), Gaetano De Stefano of the Gazetta dello Sport hails tonight's clash with Spurs as Pato's moment to shine.
Readers are warned they will see a very different Milan on the San Siro pitch tonight, but in the absence of names that have so frequently started of late, De Stefano highlights the weakness of Tottenham's defence.
"So it's Pato's moment. After a few problems to begin with, he now seems to have improved his understanding with Ibrahimovic. Allegri is convinced that they just need to play together a bit more and that the match against Tottenham will be the right moment to see just how far they have come along.
"The Spurs defence is not reckoned to be playing very well. AC Milan with the physical presence of Ibra and the speed of Pato must take advantage of this as the return match in the cauldron of White Hart Lane will not be easy."
The game in numbers
Fosuc is on numbers at the Corriere dell Sport – and they're going in Milan's favour. Alberto Polverosi points out that tonight represents Milan's 16th draw against a British team in the latter stage sof the competition, eight of which have ended in victories, five in draws and just two defeats – Manchester United last season and Arsenal in 2008.
On the flip side he points out that opponents Spurs do not have a favourable record in Italy. No wins, one draw and two defeats.

Will Roberto Mancini go for broke and seek Manchester City win against United?
It will be fascinating to see how Roberto Mancini sets up his Manchester City side to tackle Manchester United on Saturday for a match his own team really need to win to have a serious chance of taking the title.
Flying winger: Aleksandar Kolorov should give Manchester City some width to test Manchester United in the deby Photo: GETTY IMAGES

Alan's Twitter
City, who are five points behind United having played a game more, can no longer afford to tread a cautious path in the way that they have in some previous big games. That is assuming, of course, that Mancini actually wants to go for broke, because there is a suspicion that he is quite happy just making sure Champions League football comes City’s way next season.
If that happens, the Italian can rightfully feel progress is being made, so allowing a more concerted assault on the title next season when the club may have bought one or two more players.
Sounds great in theory, but the thing about football is that you cannot always pick your moments so clinically. Sometimes, a chance presents itself earlier than expected, a chance that can be grabbed, given a little courage.
That is why it will be intriguing to see City’s approach at Old Trafford, see who Mancini picks and how he instructs them. Because we have seen in the past, firstly against United at Eastlands and then at Arsenal last month, how Mancini is not always over-fussed about trying to win the game. On both occasions, he was happy to eke out a drab goalless draw.
The difference this time is that he has Edin Dzeko to provide more firepower. And having signed the striker at great expense, it would be a shame for the neutral if he started on the bench, like he did against West Bromwich Albion last week.
Not that Mancini will be worried about that. In sticking to his preferred 4-2-3-1 shape, City’s manager is desperate to stop leaking goals, meaning Dzeko could miss out in favour of a system that, first and foremost, will be hard to break down.
So let us assume Dzeko does not make it and Carlos Tévez again leads the charge, flanked by the clever David Silva and perhaps Aleksandar Kolorov, who could provide some necessary width as he did last week against West Bromwich Albion.
Silva is enjoying an excellent debut season and can be devastating when he cuts in from the right on to that left foot. Tévez can therefore make runs with confidence, knowing the Spaniard will try to pick him out (Fig 1).
Kolorov, meanwhile, can work up and down the left, always mindful of his defensive duties, particularly the threat posed by Nani.
As for United, Sir Alex Ferguson must also decide how to set up. He can guess what City will do, so that might edge him towards playing 4-3-3 (Fig 2). If not from the start, it is certainly a switch he can make mid-match, should City start bossing possession in the middle of the park.
Rich kids
I am reliably informed by someone who knows that Arsenal should actually head the rich list of clubs published on Thursday. As it is, they lie fifth behind Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Bayern Munich. But if the revenue from Arsenal’s extensive property portfolio had been included - which it could have been - they would stand astride all those other European superpowers.
Not that many Arsenal fans would take comfort from that right now. They will be hoping instead that their team can bounce back from the humiliating episode at St James’ Park. Admittedly, when United later lost at Wolves, a point against Newcastle proved a point gained, but that cannot hide the fact that Cesc Fabregas and co still look a little short of being champions-elect.
Because when the black and white tide kept surging their way, the visitors lost their heads. No one in the ranks could find the answer, which would have been to just keep the ball. Or, if in doubt, boot it in the stands to kill Newcastle’s momentum.
Yet all is not lost. Assuming Wolves do not pull off another shock today, this time at the Emirates, Arsenal could peg back more points on the leaders if United do not beat City. Under those circumstances, last week’s nightmare can be forgotten and the club can move forward. Forward to a future built on financial clout.
Player To Watch
Luis Suárez: perhaps a good day for Liverpool to give him his first start, seeing as he cannot play next week in the Europa League. And the way things are going under Kenny Dalglish, the £23 million Uruguay striker will do himself proud.

Q: Just finished scarfing down a plate of nachos and was promptly hit with a case of the hiccups. I’m wondering, why is it that when I eat fast, I often hiccup?
What are hiccups anyway? And while we’re on the subject, got any tips on how to get rid of them?
A: Well, first let’s talk about what hiccups actually are. Even though it may not seem like it when that attractive noise emits from your throat, hiccups actually start with your diaphragm, the muscle right below your chest, that contracts and expands as your breathe. A hiccup emerges when your diaphragm contracts jerkily instead of smoothly (like it’s supposed to), causing a sudden intake of breath that is stopped when your vocal cords snap shut, causing that characteristic “hic!” noise.
So what causes your diaphragm to get all jumpy in the first place? Hiccups often occur when you eat too fast and you swallow extra air (as in your case), drink carbonated drinks, or just eat too much. All of these things can irritate your diaphragm, causing it to go into a spasm.
Usually, most cases of the hiccups resolve themselves in a few minutes or at most, a few hours (fun, fun). Though rare, prolonged hiccups lasting for days could be a sign of a more serious medical condition, so talk to your doctor.
For those occasional hiccups that are more annoying than alarming, I’ve got a few tricks for you to try.
The first batch of hiccup cures aim to bring more carbon dioxide into your blood, which in turn helps relax your diaphragm. These include holding your breath for as long as you can, breathing into a paper bag for a short period of time, or quickly drinking a glass of water.
The other remedies? Well, I’m not sure if there’s any clinical research that supports their use, but I know more than a few people who swear by them. They include things like drinking water while upside down (not sure how you’re supposed to do this one), eating a teaspoon of sugar, and having someone scare the pants off you.
If you’ve ever been to a dinner party where someone’s gotten the hiccups, I’m sure you’ve heard of a wacky remedy yourself. The fun begins when you can get the person to actually do something ridiculous (“Now, pick your right leg up, hold your hands over your head, and squawk like a chicken while jumping up and down — I swear, it works!”).
For more on hiccups, the Mayo Clinic is a great resource.

Amanda Knox lawyers move to ban film
Lawyers for Amanda Knox and the family of Meredith Kercher are trying to block a film about the American student's alleged killing of her British flat mate before it is broadcast later this month.

By Nick Squires, Rome 6:02PM GMT 07 Feb 2011
The movie, "Amanda Knox: Murder on trial in Italy", is due to air in the United States on Feb 21, but lawyers for both Knox and the Kercher family say it is prejudicial and inappropriate because the case is ongoing.
They also say it is extremely upsetting because it includes graphic scenes in which an actress playing Miss Kercher is pinned down and stabbed in the neck by her three alleged killers – Knox, Raffaele Sollecito and Rudy Guede.
Lawyers for Knox and the Kercher family have sent letters to Lifetime, the American television network which made the film, demanding that the movie not be shown and threatening to take the case to a US court unless it is withdrawn.
The channel has so far refused to comment on the matter.
"We are against the film because the trial is at a very delicate stage, and one cannot talk about the facts as if there was a crystal-clear truth," said Maria Del Grosso, one of Knox's lawyers.
Francesco Maresca, who represents Miss Kercher's family, said: "To have a film so soon, on such a violent death and with the memory of this tragedy so fresh in the family's mind, seems totally inappropriate and unjustified."
Miss Kercher, 21, from Surrey, was at the start of a year-long course in the Umbrian hill town of Perugia in Nov 2007 when she was found dead in the house she shared with Knox.
Knox, 23, from Seattle, and her Italian former boyfriend, Sollecito, were found guilty of murder and sexual assault in Dec 2009 and sentenced to 26 and 25 years in jail respectively.
They are both appealing against their convictions, and the judge in the case has authorised a full review of the hotly-contested DNA evidence in the case.
Guede had his original 30 year sentence reduced to 16 years on appeal.

Zwin : Mudflats and salt marshes - 14/22
Les vasires et pr-sals - Marismas y salinas
---------------------------------
"Zwin" comes from a German word meaning " a lagoon alon the shore " .
The Zwin is a former branch of the North Sea in Belgium and the Netherlands, now silted up.
The Zwin is the largest salted area of Belgium. Mudflats and salt marshes, located behind the beach and dunes are partially or completely flooded by the sea at high tide.
Created at the tidal wave of 1134, it allowed the city of Bruges to have direct access to the North Sea.
But silt and silted up from the twelfth century. From the fifteenth century, navigation was limited to the Lock (Sluis), no longer possible to Bruges which led to the decline of the city. From the late eighteenth century and during the nineteenth century, what remains of the inlet was reclaimed.

Have you been wondering if you should break up with your boyfriend? If so, now’s the perfect time to make a decision- because it’s Dump Your Significant Jerk week!
I have to hand it to the founders of this new-fangled tradition that happens the week before Valentine’s Day because there is only one thing worse than being single on the biggest holiday of love: Being in the wrong relationship.
The stark contrast between all those images of happy couples eating chocolates and your unfulfilled reality can be just the push you need to get honest with yourself, clearly assess your situation, and make a choice that leads to real love.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to be dating a total jerk to take advantage of this opportunity, you simply need to face the fact that you’re not completely satisfied.
Then accept this fundamental truth: As long as you are dating someone who is not right for you, you’ll never find the person who is a perfect match.
That’s the real gift of Dump Your Significant Jerk week- if you free yourself from something that isn’t really working, you can go find the love you long for!
So, let’s look at some signs that it’s time to let the past go so you can sail into your future filled with love.
TOP 12 SIGNS IT'S TIME TO BREAK UP
1. You feel negative emotions, such as anxiety, hurt, loneliness, or frustration, more than you feel happy, content, and loving.
2. You find yourself drawn to spending more time alone or with family, friends, and hobbies, instead of with your partner.
3. You pick fights over insignificant things. It seems you’re always quarreling over something.

4. You pull away from public and private displays of affection when before you couldn’t get enough.
5. You don’t have much to say anymore and feel bored when you are together.
6. You keep wanting more from your partner than he/she is willing or able to give, leading to chronic hurt or heartbreak.
RELATED: Can Little White Lies Actually HELP Your Relationship?
7. You feel like you just can’t be yourself with your partner and be fully accepted. You are tired of trying to please without getting your own needs met.
8. Your partner is more into the relationship than you are and you’re over trying to fake it- you just don’t have the depth of feeling you should.
9. The relationship feels like too much work- it’s not fun, relaxed, or peaceful.

10. Saying “I love you” doesn’t feel right anymore, so you say it less, or not at all.
11. You suddenly find yourself attracted to other people and curious about pursuing alternatives.
12. You really can’t see yourself getting old and grey with your partner. When you imagine your future, your partner isn’t in it.
If several of these signs strike a chord, it’s probably time to have a heart-to-heart with your partner. This year the best Valentine’s Day present may be the gift of freedom so you can both go out and find real love. That way, when the holiday of love rolls around next year, you really will have something to celebrate!

Savers help investment funds enjoy strong 2010
Savers paid almost £24bn into investment funds during 2010 as low interest rates encouraged people to seek alternative homes for their cash.
Equity sales have hit a 10-year peak, reaching #7.5bn Photo: AFP

A total of £23.9bn was invested last year, according to the Investment Management Association (IMA) - just below the record £25.9bn recorded in 2009. The figures were driven by strong sales of tax-free ISAs, which hit their highest level since 2001 with net investments of £3.9bn.
Elsewhere, equity sales hit a 10-year peak, reaching £7.5bn. Bonds also remained popular with savers, who invested £7bn in them during the year.
Richard Saunders, chief executive at IMA, said: "Consumers continued to increase their investments at record rates in 2010, which was the second highest year on record for fund sales.
"Faith in equities strengthened, with 2010 showing the highest equity net retail sales since 2000. While investors showed a strong bias towards UK and European equities a decade ago, investors have now diversified their equity exposure, with 20pc of gross sales going into global funds in 2010."
The strong annual performance saw funds under management at UK-domiciled companies grow to £577.69bn from £480.6bn a year earlier.
The upturn comes against a backdrop of low interest rates, which remain at 0.5pc, and rising equity markets. The FTSE100 has risen by 13.57pc over the past year, helping alternative sources of investment, such as stock markets, become a more attractive than many conventional savings products.
In December, net retail sales hit £2.5bn - above the monthly average of £2bn recorded over the past 12 months. This meant monthly net sales have now been at or above £2bn for 14 out of the past 18 months.
The leading asset class was equities with net retail sales of £1.7bn in December, the highest since April 2000. However, net retail sales of bond funds only reached £196m, below the monthly average of £591m recorded over the past 12 months.
Mr Saunders added: "Strong sales of tracker funds also helped the UK All Companies sector to its best sales in 2010.
"Investors continued to diversify their portfolios geographically, with the Global Growth sector reporting its highest sales on record."
The Investment Management Association is the trade body for the UK's £3 trillion asset management industry. The money its members manage include pension funds and stocks and shares ISAs.
