View on black please.

It's not often that I take black and white photos of landmarks, as I prefer a bit of colour. While processing this photo, it was really colourful and I'll no doubt but it up in a few months, but I caught sight of this in monochrome and was very impressed. It looks like some sort of spy movie. Bonus points for naming the movie I'm thinking of...

I've actually started a set called Espionage! for my spy-like photographs, so hopefully that'll start filling up. I quite like the theme!

The Brandenburg Gate is actually quite hard to photograph. The reason for this is that 99% of the time, these horrible 7-seater bike things are parked on these cobbles. There are also hideous-looking covered bike taxis.

I had finished taking photos of the nearby Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and wandered up to the Gate to get some blue hour shots. I had to wait patiently until the cyclists got some business and buggered off at the same time. The colour in the gate is fantastic, but for now you'll have to make do with the black and white version. I hope you don't mind.

As this is a b&w, it will look better on black. (Press L)
